Mario Pace is an all-round artist who has experience in different fields of art, including painting, sculpture, sketches, building miniatures, digital painting and three dimensional sculptures. His skills have been developed in a high school of art in Italy, where he refined every art, taking it to a professional level. Therefore, his visual skills have developed over the years, leading him to focus on creating environments of every kind and shape, making him the Matte Painter artist he is today. His passion for the environments comes from the “Lord of the Rings” films that inspired him in creating fantastic places where imagination has no limits. All this led him to a university that has possessed the knowledge and tools to improve his skills as an artist.
Mario graduated in 2014 with a BFA in Visual Effects and Animation at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California, with a focus on Matte Painting and 3D Environment. He worked on Collaborative projects at the Academy of Art for external projects, where he does different environments that will be often seen for short films. These collaborations are increasing the skills that led him to independent movies, which require the graphics support and creativeness he possesses and enabling him to use a vast range of programs that match the ones currently used in the film industry.
